Obese Kids Don't Fit in Car Seats
Researchers report that there aren't child car seats big enough for overweight children. Because of the growing trend of childhood obesity, parents struggle with finding safety seats for their kids. The study came about when technicians at the Children's Safety Center found that obese kids exceed the weight limit of most car seats, which are required by law. If parents do find larger seats available, the bigger seats are very, very expensive and many obese kids are part of low-income families.
