Last week, three studies were presented at the Pediatric Academic Societies' annual meeting that were aimed strictly at ways parents can help their children get to a healthy weight. Low-income mothers need to know which foods they should be serving to their kids. Parents of all income levels need to foster positive self-esteem and body image in their children and adolescents.
